Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #292

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far.  It's been a great week so far here.  The summer weather seems to have finally arrived and I am loving that warm sunshine.  Everything is so green and lush looking.  We went for a bike ride the other night in the bush and we stopped for a minute to look at a deer and I got eaten alive by mosquitos and black flies.  Wow!  They were crazy hungry!  One part of summer I do not enjoy!

We have a great new sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our hostess this week is our favourite DT member from France, Cecile Ribon!

Now, when you look at this sketch and see a LOT of circles like I did, don't freak out.  They're really not that bad.  I kinda just decided I would make this card as close to the sketch as I could!  I opted to try and make a more masculine card since I'm really short on some cards for men.  I figured black and silver would work and threw in some Bermuda Bay for accent.  Okay, so there are sequins on it.  I couldn't help myself.  It just needed something!

Cardstock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Silver
Stamps: Sweet Celebration (Lil Inkers)
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Silly Stitched Dies (Lil' Inkers), Celebrate Die (Lil' Inkers), Sequins, Double Stitched Circle Dies (Lil' Inkers), Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by this week!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the amazing cards the Design Team has created!  You won't be disappointed!

Have a fabulous day!

  1. LOVE the shine - definitely a card to "celebrate"!

  2. Loving the silver and black and all the stitches! Classy card! And oh I hate those black flies too!

  3. Such a bold and elegant card, Jen! Love the pop of the teal colour - works perfectly!

  4. Oh I LOVE all the stitches and the shine you used on this card!! Pops right off the photo!!

  5. Look at you embracing the circle love! Awesome masculine card - sequins and all!

  6. I figured it would have been time for the paper bag for the hyperventilating, haha!! Love the pop from the Bermuda Bay! Great card.

  7. You did a great job with those circles! I love the silver one tucked in between the two black ones. It gives this a bit of a retro look, I think!

  8. Wow; Jen! What a fabulous take on the sketch. Your card is so classy! Love this color palette! And a few sequins are ok for men too
