Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #147

Hello!
Welcome to Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week so far!  I am having a good week with Jacob!  Caleb is enjoying his "vacation" with my mom and dad!  Jake and I will be joining him next week so Jacob can have a vacation as well.  Jake does well for a night or two by himself but then starts to miss Mom and Caleb.  He has been going on already about how much he misses his brother.  I have no idea how he could do two weeks without him!

We have a great new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches!  The incredibly talented Jennifer Timko has created this beauty for us!  If you want to see some amazing creations, you need to check out my friend Jen's blog!  She is one creative lady!
So, this sketch threw me for a loop!  I tried a whole pile of different combinations.  This is the one that stuck.   In hindsight I should have matted the stripes but I wanted to keep the card simple.

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Hello Honey
DSP: Moonlight DSP Stack
Stamps: Endless Wishes
Ink: Hello Honey
Other: Vintage Faceted Buttons, Gold Sequins, Bakers Twine, Dimensionals

Thanks again for stopping by today!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #146

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  Hope you are having a great week!  The boys and I are enjoying another week together!  We've had lots of fun and enjoyed each other's company!  They started their summer Project Life albums!  Caleb took to it right away and loved using the journalling cards and some stamps!  How I love that Stampin' Up and Project Life have teamed up together!!!!  I apologize for my complete lack of cards lately.  Having the boys home all the time means zero time for card making during the day and generally complete exhaustion by the time I get them to bed!

Today we have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches from the incredibly creative Amy O'Neill.  Her cards are so beautiful!  I love scrolling through her blog and drooling!
At first this sketch had me sweating!  I saw that flower and what I really saw was a big ol' circle!  I started to stress but I love the Kinda Eclectic stamp set and knew that I really wanted to use it on this card.

My dear friend Jenn graciously provided her swimming pool for us to use for our lessons a few days this week as the pool we were slotted to use has a broken heater and is freezing cold!  I wanted to have a card to thank her for coming to our rescue!  The "You Made My Day" stamp in the "And Many More" stamp set was perfect for this card!  I decided to emboss that and the butterflies in gold! I threw on some sequins and voila!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White, Blackblerry Bliss
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, And Many More
Ink: Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, Versamark
Other: Gold Embossing Powder, Vellum, Gold Sequins, Basic Pearls

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Please hop on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to have a peek at the beautiful cards the Design Team has created for you!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #145

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I'm so sorry that this post is only getting up this morning!  I remembered as I was heading out the door last night that I hadn't sat down and gotten it ready!  It was too late when I got home but I knew I would have time in the morning!!!

I hope you're having a great summer so far!  We had a great week at Harvest Kids Camp last week!  What an amazing week!  We had 827 kids who were very full of energy!  25 of those kids spent their week with me and my friend Julie and we introduced them to the world of stamping and card making!  What a hoot!

We had a brand new sketch today at Freshly Made Sketches!  The incredibly talented Narelle Farrugia brings us a great sketch!  Narelle's cards are so beautifully layered and always so detailed!  I love them!  Head over to her blog to check them out!

The sketch stressed me out at first with that giant circle staring at me but we had used the new Flower Patch Polymer stamp set at Camp last week and I knew that it would work perfectly for this card!  I love the layering you can do with the flowers and especially love the coordinating die set!!!

I tried to line up the circles on the card with the Polka Dot Embossing Folder but as you can see, I was not successful!  Oh well!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Pool Party, Silver
Stamps: Flower Patch
Ink: Island Indigo, Pool party, Versamark
Other: Polka Dot TIEF, Flower Patch Framelits, Silver Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you'll head over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog, check out our sketch and the wonderful cards the Design Team has created for you!

Have a  fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #143

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!   I hope you're having a great week!  I am loving summer holidays!  They couldn't have come soon enough!  I am very sorry that I haven't been posting much.  Our church's summer camp is next week and my friend and I are in charge of the card making elective so I have been going crazy getting projects ready for camp!  Now all my "stuff" is packed up and I'm not sure when (or how!) I'll make my next card!

We have a great sketch at Freshly Made Sketches today!  Cindy Lovell has created a beauty for us!  Cindy is so incredibly talented and creates the most amazing cards!  I could spend hours looking at her blog!

I had a few minutes to open the my box of goodies from the new catalogue.  I love the "Kinda Eclectic" stamp set.  It's so fun to work with and of course I love the butterflies!  I couldn't wait to work with it!  I saw this evil circle on the sketch and knew right away what I would do!  Take that circle element!!!!  I tried different "banners" with a sentiment on it but nothing worked.  I decided I would try stamping directly on some natural ribbon.  I flipped the chevron ribbon over and voila!  It suited the card better than anything else I had tried!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Whisper White
Stamps: Kinda Eclectic, Another Thank You
Ink: Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Pool Party
Other: Chevron Natural Ribbon, Basic Rhinestones, Elegant Butterfly Punch, Small Butterfly Punch

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Please make sure you check out the Freshly Made Sketches blog!  The Design Team has once again created some amazing cards!  I am so fortunate to be working with such a creative bunch!

Have a fabulous day!
