Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #121

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  Yesterday was a busy day...very busy!  I was at the school most of the day trying to get their home reading books organized and re-distributed.  I had boot camp last night since Trevor is away (again) tonight.  Wow - she worked us hard!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches this week!  The talented Linda Callahan is our hostess this week and she has come up with a fabulous sketch for you!  I loved it!
Of course I've got Valentine's Day on the brain!  I have one more card to share and then I may have to put the lid on it and move onto bigger things - like my husband's birthday card!  Yikes!!!

I wanted to keep this card simple and clean!  I do love the "Just Sayin" speech bubbles!  They are so fun to work with and since they have coordinating framelit dies, they are super easy to use!!!!  What more could one want?!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Red Glimmer
Stamps: Just Sayin'
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Word Bubbles Framelits, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

Please head on over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and see the fabulous cards the design team has created for you!!!  You won't be disappointed!

Have a fabulous day!

Be my Valentine!

Hello!
Hope you had a great Monday!  My Monday was busy.  I felt sort of normal today so I think I took advantage of that and went a little overboard!  I did enjoy my morning work out though.  It felt good to get up and get moving!  I must say I'm a little tired now!

I can't believe how fast Valentine's Day is creeping up!  It will be here in no time!  Another exciting event starting tomorrow (Tuesday) is Stampin' Up's Sale-a-Bration!  I love this event!  For every $60 you spend from either the Occasions Catalogue or the Annual Catalogue, you can pick 1 item from the Sale-A-Bration flyer for FREE!!!!!  Who doesn't love free?!

The banner punch and stamp set on the above card are from the Sale-A-Bration flyer!  Who doesn't love a cute little punch and coordinating stamps?!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Red Glimmer Paper
Stamps: P.S. I Love You (sentiment), Banner Blast
Ink: Basic Black, Versamark
Other: Banner Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Basic Pearls, Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope you have a great Tuesday!!!  Please stay tuned Wednesday for a new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!!!

Pocketful of Valentine Love

Hello!
Hope you had a great weekend.  We had a really quiet weekend....I am still recovering from my flu and don't too much energy yet.  Caleb has a touch of bronchitis but seems to be recovering nicely.  Nothing a weekend at home couldn't help!

I got a few minutes in the workshop this weekend!  It was nice to get back working after several days of just not having the energy (or motivation!).

I loved the new sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch!  I think I may have strayed a little too far from the sketch though!

I am really liking the white on white look.  It just seems so clean and well, I love clean!  I had a hard time making the hearts come out of the pocket properly....I tried.    I love making Valentine's....I just really need to remember to mail them!!!!  I'm the worst at making these cards, having them get lost on my disastrous desk and then finding them at Easter!!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Whisper White, Glimmer Red
Stamps: P.S I Love You
Ink: Basic Black
Other: Pocket Die (PTI), Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Heart to Heart Punch, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!
I will hopefully be back again tomorrow with another card!!!

Have a fabulous day!!!

Valentine's Day

Hello!
I know some of you may be expecting a Freshly Made Sketches post but unfortunately with my flu/cold I didn't get down into the workshop yet so I didn't get my card done.  Today Jacob woke up sick (I think from eating a few too many tomatoes and orange peppers last night) so he was home with me.  We had a relaxing day of movie watching on the couch.  I'm sure hoping that when we wake up tomorrow we are all feeling better!

Today's card is made from an old sketch (a few weeks ago) over at Create with Connie and Mary.  I didn't get the card done in time to enter the challenge but I really liked the sketch and wanted to finish the card!

Valentine's Day will be upon us in no time and if I don't get some cards done I'm going to be in trouble!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Real Red, Whisper White
Stamps: Hearts a Flutter, PS I Love You
Ink: Real Red, Stazon Black, Versamark
Other: Hearts a Flutter Framelits, Heart to Heart Punch, Full Heart Punch, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Clear Embossing Powder, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by!

I hope you have a fabulous day!

Fusion Birthday

Hello!
Hope you had a great day!  I am feeling a bit better today!  Thankfully the aches and chills have left and don't seem to be coming back!  I still have yet to get into the craft room though!  Thankfully I have a few cards left from last week that I can post!

I tried out the Fusion Card Challenge this week!  I tried to combine both the photo and the sketch.  Not sure how well it turned out but it was a stretch for me to do a combo card!

I love grey and yellow together and loved the look of the woodgrain in the background!  I also love a good sketch challenge so I took the plunge!  I love the Chalk Talk stamp set and don't get to use it near enough!  I realize that the colours are backwards on my "chalked" tag but it's too late to change it!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Very Vanilla, Smokey Slate, So Saffron
Stamps: Chalk Talk, Petite Petals
Ink: Versamark
Other: White Embossing Powder, Silver Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Bakers Twine, Chalk Talk Framelits, Petite Petals Punch, Woodgrain Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!
I hope you have a fabulous day!

CAS(E) This Sketch Birthday

Hello!
Sorry I've been MIA the last few days!  I even had a few cards to post but Friday afternoon I started to come down with that crazy flu that's going around and even today haven't been able to move around much.  I have never felt aches and chills like that before!  I am feeling a bit better but still have a long way to go!

Last week I saw the new sketch at CAS(E) this sketch and thought I needed to make a card to go along with it.

I wanted to leave a lot of white space...I tend to like white space for some reason!  I had to try out the Banners Framelits again and their corresponding stamps!  I embossed the stitching on there to add a little pizzazz!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Coastal Cabana
DSP: Retro Fresh
Stamps: Perfect Pennants
Ink: Versamark
Other: Needlepoint Border Textured Impressions, White Embossing Powder, Basic Rhinestones, Banners Framelits

Thanks for stopping by!
I hope to be back tomorrow with another card!

Have a fabulous day!

Retro Sketches Birthday

Hello!
Hope you had a great Thursday!  I'm a little sore today from bootcamp last night....okay, that's a slight understatement.  I'm really sore today.  I haven't been this sore in a long time!  This is going to make tomorrow morning's work out a little more challenging!  I guess that's a good thing though right?

I had a few minutes earlier this week to work on a birthday card for a friend!  I started with the new sketch over at retro sketches but after a few goes I think the final product might be a far cry from the starting sketch!

I love the new Banners Framelits!  I love them with or without the coordinating stamp set!  I threw in the new Banner Punch on the end as well since who doesn't love a good banner?!

Supplies:
Cardstock:  Strawberry Slush, Whisper White
Stamps: Four You, Papillon Potpourri
Ink: Stazon Black
Other: Basic Rhinestones, Bitty Butterfly Punch, Baker's Twine, Banners Framelits, Banner Punch, Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Dimensionals

Thanks so much for stopping by!
I hope to have another card posted tomorrow!

Have a fabulous day!

Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #119

Hello!
Happy Wednesday!  I hope you're having a great week!  We had a beautiful day here yesterday!  The sun was shining and it was nice and warm (if somewhere around 7 degrees C is warm for you!).  The ice is finally off our driveway and for that I am thankful!

We have a great new sketch at Freshly Made Sketches!  Our fabulous hostess this week is the talented Cindy Lovell!  I do love her sketch this week!  It was a challenge for me for sure but super fun to work with!
My friend Jeanette had a birthday on Monday and this was the card I made for her!  Jeanette loves grey and yellow and I wanted to make a card in colours I knew she would enjoy!!!  I do love grey and yellow together though too!!!    The flower (from Secret Garden) is embossed in silver - it's a little hard to see in the picture!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Grey, Whisper White, So Saffron
DSP: Subtles Paper Stack (retired)
Stamps: Secret Garden, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink: Versamark
Other: Silver Embossing Powder, Secret Garden Framelites, Bitty Banners Framelits, Basic Rhinestones, Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you get a chance to scoot over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog and check out the beautiful cards the Design Team has created!  You won't be disappointed!

Have a wonderful day!

Seize that Valentine!

Hello!
Hope you had a great start to your week!  Today was a busy day here and I'm tired - which is a good thing!  Jacob and I had a good day together!  We got lots accomplished and even delivered some cupcakes and a caramel latte to a friend who was celebrating her birthday today (her card you'll get to see on Wednesday)!

No time in the craft room today....maybe after the kids get to bed!!!!  I made this card last week using the current sketch over at Seize the Sketch!  I love sketch challenges!!!!

I must apologize that the picture isn't totally clear.  My camera wouldn't focus for some reason.  I think it didn't quite know what to focus on!!!  I used the new "Language of Love" stamp set from SU!  I really like the heart and love that I can just punch it out!!!!

I had some old black glimmer paper that I had purchased who knows where that I wanted to use as well as the SU red glimmer.  I honestly have no idea where the background paper came from.  It was an old piece in my scrapbook stash.  I am trying to use up some old papers and it was the only Valentine's Day paper I had!!!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Red Glimmer, Black Glimmer (non-SU)
DSP:  Unknown - non SU
Stamps: Language of Love
Ink: Versamark
Other: White Embossing Powder, Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Dimensionals

I hope you have a great day!!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!

Petite Petals Thank You

Hello!
This is going to be a quick post tonight.  I must get to bed....5:45 comes early in the morning to be up and working out!!!  I got to spend a few minutes in my craft room over the weekend.  I was rather excited!  This week is going to be busy so I don't know how much time I'll get in there!

I decided to play along with the Card Concept and CAS(E) This Sketch Challenges this week.

I need some thank you cards and thought that this sketch would be perfect!  I wanted to try out a few of my new stamp sets as well and was able to for this card!

I added an embossed border along the edge at the last minute.  I wasn't sure at first if I should but the card looked rather naked without it!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Pink Pirouette, Strawberry Slush
Stamps: Petite Petals, Four You
Ink: Early Espresso, Versamark
Other: Petite Petals Punch, Delicate Designs Embossing Folder, Basic Pearls, Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by!  I will be back tomorrow with another card!

Have a fabulous day!

I trust everyone had a great Christmas and New Years!  I was so thankful to have a two week break and enjoyed the time with my family!  I didn't craft once over the holidays and it was wonderful!  I relaxed and just enjoyed being able to do nothing!
